I support high potential, high achieving LGBTQ+ leaders in meeting their career challenges in new ways.

Professional LGBTQ+ Leadership Coaching

Are you an LGBTQ leader who enjoys success and looking for specialized support to enhance your leadership capabilities? My LGBTQ+ coaching clients want to attain more rewarding work experiences with increased confidence, better relationships with key influencers, success with increased challenges, more visibility, and recognition. I work with highly successful people who want to become even more successful, and are willing to put in the time and work to get there.

The LGTBQ+ business leaders I support will invest in coaching as a part of their professional development, which allows them to maximize their strengths and leverage successes to get ahead. As an LGBTQ leader myself, my inclusive coaching approach opens up big-picture thinking, widens focus, and accelerates innovation to achieve sustainable results for clients.

Clients benefit from having a safe sounding board and objective partner to help them navigate challenges, consider alternatives, and move through ambiguous, uncertain situations. I help LBGTQ+ leaders to identify goals and develop clear action plans to achieve them while bringing understanding and awareness.

Curious about how LGBTQ+ executive coaching is different from traditional leadership coaching? My short blog explains: BLOG: How Is LGBTQ+ Executive / Leadership Coaching Different?

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) leaders often bring me into organizations to speak or do workshops.

Coaching sessions are done by video or phone call.

Client Testimonials

As a leader in a small business, Sarah was instrumental in helping me look at the big picture in terms of how I assess a situation and how I lead a team well. She’s a wealth of knowledge when it comes to coaching LGBTQ leaders and provided me with a number of resources and tools that I anticipate using throughout my career. Also as an LGBTQ person, I found Sarah provided me with a welcoming space to discuss and build confidence around the unique aspects of being a LGBTQ professional and experiences navigating the world as so. I recommend Sarah for anyone looking to advance their career and continue to sharpen their leadership skills and potential.
— Devin McGuire, General Manager, Nauset Rental
I am a business and arts professional, gainfully employed, who needed an update to both my resume, as well as guidance as to how to migrate my professional information into a virtual platform. Sarah approaches her work as a collaboration and encourages you to work diligently to achieve your desired results. At every step of the process, Sarah is clear, concise, and gently diplomatic in her suggestions. With enthusiasm, intelligence, and perseverance Sarah guided me expertly to achieve my desired results. I now have a much higher level of confidence in my professional profile. I am very happy to give Sarah my highest recommendation for anyone seeking professional consultations and career guidance.
— J.H., Entertainment Industry Leader and Make-up artist, Los Angeles, CA
#Vulnerable is the way to go, in general, right now, but this is a population underserved by professional coaching with folks who expertise with any specific trends the LGBTQ+ community (or individuals) run into. I think putting yourself out there with this expertise is a brilliant step of generosity!

Coaching Process:

Here’s what to expect with the LGTBQ executive coaching process:

  1. Starting: Our first session will be spent getting to know you. You will share and answer several questions to provide a full picture of your work and life.

  2. Agreement on Purpose and Goals: Working with LGBTQ executives and business leaders, I will define and confirm the exact shifts and changes you seek and what success looks like. You will be offered exercises to practice beginning your shift. We will discuss ways to hold yourself accountable in moving towards changes.

  3. Working Towards Goals, and Practicing: Each coaching session will start with you sharing your progress, challenges, successes, and insights that were gained. Continued support will be provided, and you will be offered additional ways to overcome challenges and stretch yourself.

  4. Closing of Coaching Program: During our last session, we will reflect on your progress. How do you feel coaching has gone? What are your next steps? Is there interest in extending coaching for new or different areas?

You will receive:

  • A personalized LGBTQ+ coaching package tailored to your specific issue (including intended outcomes of our coaching program)

  • Recommended practices and exercises to help create the desired change

  • Private weekly or twice-monthly 50-minute sessions, for a minimum of 6 sessions, to check on your progress, discuss new insights, and address any challenges

  • Email and phone support between coaching sessions (two 10-minute “emergency” calls per month) - in case you need live support between sessions
